Privacy Policy
HowAI uses account information to provide sign-in, saved content and community features. This page explains the data we handle and how to contact us.
Information you provide
When you create an account, we receive your name, email address, profile image and sign-in identifier. We store the Skills and videos you save, likes, reviews, requests and other submissions you choose to send. For purchases, we store the plan, payment status, provider customer and order identifiers, and membership dates. Creem handles payment card details; we do not store full card numbers. Please do not include passwords, private API keys or other secrets in submissions.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate you, maintain your library, process submissions, moderate public contributions, respond to requests and protect the service. Reviews and other contributions may become public after editorial review; your saved library is associated with your account.
Service providers and external sites
Clerk manages authentication and sessions; Google provides optional Google sign-in. Vercel hosts the website, Supabase hosts our PostgreSQL database, Cloudflare hosts media and routes support email, and Creem processes payments as merchant of record. These providers process information needed to deliver their services, which may involve processing outside your country. Loading media, signing in or following an external link can share your IP address and request details with the relevant provider or publisher. External sites have their own privacy practices.
Cookies and operational information
Authentication uses cookies and browser storage. Hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, device and browser information, timestamps and request or error logs to operate and secure the service. HowAI currently has no advertising or product analytics integration. See our Cookie Policy for more details.
Retention and account requests
Account-linked data is retained to provide your account and library; operational records may be retained for security, troubleshooting and applicable obligations. Contact support@howai.build from your registered email to request access, correction or deletion of your HowAI data. We verify account ownership before acting. Removing a sign-in profile alone does not automatically remove previously submitted HowAI content; include that content in your request.
