CreatorMotion · Polygon Scene Wipe

Create a clear break between two image scenes with a short title interstitial. Complementary angular planes close over the outgoing scene, open onto a headline and ordinal, then repeat the cover/open action for the destination. This 6.8-second composition provides an authored transition sequence rather than selecting edit points or assembling a complete film.

What you get

  • A local generator, editable HyperFrames transition and motion/review instructions for a 1920×1080, 30 fps segment. Generate the composition, then render it for use in a larger edit.
  • beforeTitle, interstitialTitle, ordinal and afterTitle, plus required before-image and after-image raster slots with bundled defaults. The initial/final scenes use image backgrounds and editable text; no presenter recording is required.
  • A first cover from 0.94 to 1.22 seconds and opening from 1.24 to 1.54 seconds, followed by a second cover from 3.94 to 4.22 seconds and opening from 4.24 to 4.56 seconds. Scene substitutions occur under full coverage, preserving a clean boundary between all three stages.
  • Four styles keep the same data and choreography: White & Yellow (white-yellow), Charcoal & Lime (charcoal-lime), Paper & Orange (paper-orange), and Black & White (midnight-ice). Semantic style overrides are supported; check contrast after changing them. Dark canvases use a fine grid. Local fonts include Inter, IBM Plex Mono for measurements and ordinals, Smiley Sans and Noto Sans SC. Chinese text selects Smiley Sans automatically, including accompanying Latin text; --zh-font noto-sans-sc selects Noto Sans SC, while --font takes precedence for a supplied font.

Before you choose

Use the interstitial to explain why the subject changes. Keep the covered switch points intact and evaluate the last scene as a reading surface rather than adding movement simply because the wipe has finished.

Good fit

  • A creator moving from one visual topic to another through a concise intervening statement.
  • A teaching sequence that benefits from a decisive section break rather than a gradual dissolve.
  • A series needing repeatable angular edits, interstitial typography and a quiet destination hold.

Not for

  • Automatically finding scene boundaries, deciding where a cut belongs or editing an entire production.
  • Assuming the supplied image slots accept arbitrary video clips, or replacing the defining cover/open geometry with a single opacity fade.
  • Generating missing presenter footage or music, or copying another creator’s identity and source materials.

How to use

You say/creatormotion-transition-polygon-wipe Turn my supplied explanation into a white-yellow B-roll scene using the Polygon Scene Wipe effect. Use the text, data and media I provide, and ask for any required input that is missing.
  1. Prepare all three title stages and the ordinal. Keep before/after labels concise and the interstitial short enough for its large condensed uppercase treatment. The initial/final BEFORE and AFTER labels are fixed scene text.

  2. Reuse before-image and after-image or replace those exact slots with --images MAP.json. Relative paths resolve beside the map and unnamed defaults remain. Both rasters are mandatory even though the scene needs no presenter; text embedded in them does not change with JSON titles. Follow the image policy.

  3. Preserve the three-stage narrative and the fully covered switch moments. The current planes share the accent fill; older black/light-plane wording is not a separate dual-tone control. Check image/title contrast under the dark overlay rather than assuming palette changes recolor the photographs.

  4. From the extracted package, prepare Node.js 22+, FFmpeg and HyperFrames CLI 0.8.30. Run node scripts/create.mjs --out PROJECT --data CONTENT.json --style white-yellow, substituting another documented palette if wanted. Read the motion specification and image policy before adapting the scene; use semantic --overrides for deliberate style changes.

  5. Inspect the editable project at entry, each motion handoff and final hold, then render with the command printed by the generator. Check the resulting frames for text collisions, correct numbers and readable contrast. Keep at least 1.2 seconds for the final reading when editing, and compare all four palettes with identical content after structural changes. Narration, music and assembly into a longer film remain separate work. Inspect actual transition frames around both full-cover points for old text leaking through, gaps or clipped headings. Keep the middle title readable before the second pass and the destination calm afterward. Narration and film assembly remain separate work.
