Frame a presenter with two concise ideas in tension. An opening label retracts, then a compact dark print patch enters on the left and unboxed slanted white text arrives on the right. The asymmetry distinguishes the two statements while the central person remains visible. This 6.8-second composition supplies the staged comparison; you provide the footage and the reasoning behind it.
What you get
A local generator, editable HyperFrames presenter overlay and motion/review instructions for a 1920×1080, 30 fps segment. The project is generated from your text and continuous source video before rendering.
initialLabel, leftLabel and rightLabel. The opening uses the accent treatment, the left counterpart a fixed dark patch and the right counterpart white slanted type. A soft grade deepens the footage toward the right edge to support the unboxed text.
Initial-label entrance from 0.35 to 0.59 seconds, clearance from 1.80 seconds, left-label entrance from 2.20 to 2.44 seconds and right-label entrance from 2.75 to 3.01 seconds. The final pair then stays in place for reading.
Four styles keep the same data and choreography: White & Yellow (white-yellow), Charcoal & Lime (charcoal-lime), Paper & Orange (paper-orange), and Black & White (midnight-ice). Semantic style overrides are supported; check contrast after changing them. Dark canvases use a fine grid. Local fonts include Inter, IBM Plex Mono for measurements and ordinals, Smiley Sans and Noto Sans SC. Chinese text selects Smiley Sans automatically, including accompanying Latin text; --zh-font noto-sans-sc selects Noto Sans SC, while --font takes precedence for a supplied font.
Before you choose
Use two phrases that reveal a real tension, then choose footage with enough side space to show them. Check the person and labels together; an elegant text treatment fails if the crop hides the face or the right phrase disappears into the background.
Good fit
A creator explaining a trade-off or misconception through two short contrasting phrases.
A teaching passage where the face should remain the central anchor while labels establish the tension.
A presenter series needing repeatable side zones and distinct label treatments without symmetric UI panels.
Not for
Automatic fact-checking, proving a causal relationship or analyzing whether the two statements fairly describe a subject.
Long definitions, multiple competing labels or automatically tracking a moving face to keep the center clear.
Automatic full-film editing, generating missing presenter footage or music, or copying another creator’s identity and source material.
How to use
You say/creatormotion-type-opposing-labels Turn my supplied explanation into a white-yellow B-roll scene using the Opposing Side Labels effect. Use the text, data and media I provide, and ask for any required input that is missing.
Write three short phrases: an initial setup followed by left/right counterparts. Make their relationship understandable without relying only on color. The initial phrase disappears before the pair arrives; it is not a third item in the final comparison.
Supply a continuous local presenter/background take at least 6.8 seconds long through --media. Keep it muted and do not loop a short recording. The scene uses a tighter 128% crop shifted left, so review the real face position and available side space rather than assuming any centered recording will fit.
Keep replacement labels within the two fixed side zones and inspect white text against the moving right-hand background. The gradient helps contrast but does not guarantee it for every take. No alpha matte or image map is required by this effect; real audio alignment remains separate.
From the extracted package, prepare Node.js 22+, FFmpeg and HyperFrames CLI 0.8.30. Run node scripts/create.mjs --out PROJECT --data CONTENT.json --style white-yellow, substituting another documented palette if wanted. Read the motion specification and image policy before adapting the scene; use semantic --overrides for deliberate style changes. Add --media /absolute/PRESENTER.mp4.
Inspect the editable project at entry, each motion handoff and final hold, then render with the command printed by the generator. Check the resulting frames for text collisions, correct numbers and readable contrast. Keep at least 1.2 seconds for the final reading when editing, and compare all four palettes with identical content after structural changes. Narration, music and assembly into a longer film remain separate work. Check the initial clearance, staggered pair, central face region and the worst contrast frame on the right. Keep the distinct dark-patch/unboxed treatments and a steady paired hold instead of turning both sides into generic cards.

FAQ
The three labels are JSON inputs and the package supports palettes and overrides. The current paired labels deliberately use a fixed dark patch and white type; switching a palette does not recolor every part of that contrast.
Yes. Bring one continuous local take covering the full 6.8-second shot. A transparent cutout is not required; the labels sit over the cropped video.
Yes. Preserve the setup-label removal, staggered opposing labels and clear central presenter region. Render after changing the crop, label sizes or timing.
Their positions and video crop are authored. There is no face tracking or automatic collision avoidance; choose a suitable take or adjust the composition.
It darkens that region but cannot guarantee contrast throughout arbitrary footage. Inspect moving frames, especially bright details behind the white phrase.
