Introduce one measurement and explain its status without hiding the underlying shot. A compact overlay brings in a functional label, an accented value with its unit, then up to two status badges. This 6.8-second sequence keeps supplied footage visible and leaves the completed fact treatment still. It displays the information you enter rather than measuring a subject or checking its status.
What you get
A local generator, editable HyperFrames footage overlay and motion/review instructions for a 1920×1080, 30 fps segment. Generate the composition with your text and video, then render the shot.
label, value, unit and up to two statuses. The label establishes context, the highlighted measurement carries the main emphasis, and compact badges explain the supplied state. A directional dark shade supports the left-side text while most footage remains exposed.
Label entrance from 0.30 seconds, value entrance from 1.10 to 1.35 seconds and sequential status reveals from 2.35 and 3.15 seconds. The value is a supplied display string, not an animated calculation or live reading.
Four styles keep the same data and choreography: White & Yellow (white-yellow), Charcoal & Lime (charcoal-lime), Paper & Orange (paper-orange), and Black & White (midnight-ice). Semantic style overrides are supported; check contrast after changing them. Dark canvases use a fine grid. Local fonts include Inter, IBM Plex Mono for measurements and ordinals, Smiley Sans and Noto Sans SC. Chinese text selects Smiley Sans automatically, including accompanying Latin text; --zh-font noto-sans-sc selects Noto Sans SC, while --font takes precedence for a supplied font.
Before you choose
State what the number measures and why the two statuses matter. Relevant footage helps connect that fact to a subject, but the visual treatment cannot replace a defensible source for the displayed claim.
Good fit
A creator explaining one specification, duration or quantity in the context of a relevant recording.
A short teaching passage where the audience needs a number first and its conditions immediately afterward.
A recurring fact format needing consistent measurement hierarchy, compact status labels and typography.
Not for
Automatically collecting measurements, checking whether a task is complete or linking badges to live system status.
A full specification table, more than two visible status badges or long labels that overwhelm the compact overlay.
Automatic long-form editing, generating an absent presenter or soundtrack, or copying another creator’s identity and footage.
How to use
You say/creatormotion-type-spec-reveal Turn my supplied explanation into a white-yellow B-roll scene using the Specification Status Reveal effect. Use the text, data and media I provide, and ask for any required input that is missing.
Prepare label, value, unit and up to two concise statuses. Check the source and meaning of the measurement and conditions yourself. Replace the illustrative focus-block example with information that accurately describes your subject.
Supply a continuous local presenter/background take at least 6.8 seconds long through --media, muted and without looping a shorter take. Although the guide mentions default footage, the inspected archive contains no video and the generator has no such fallback; it requires your media input.
Choose framing with clear left-side space for the overlay. The footage uses cover cropping with its focus toward the right; the shade does not guarantee contrast in every frame. No alpha matte or image replacement is needed. More than two statuses are ignored by the effect.
From the extracted package, prepare Node.js 22+, FFmpeg and HyperFrames CLI 0.8.30. Run node scripts/create.mjs --out PROJECT --data CONTENT.json --style white-yellow, substituting another documented palette if wanted. Read the motion specification and image policy before adapting the scene; use semantic --overrides for deliberate style changes. Add --media /absolute/TAKE.mp4 and align any separate narration yourself.
Inspect the editable project at entry, each motion handoff and final hold, then render with the command printed by the generator. Check the resulting frames for text collisions, correct numbers and readable contrast. Keep at least 1.2 seconds for the final reading when editing, and compare all four palettes with identical content after structural changes. Narration, music and assembly into a longer film remain separate work. Check the measurement and unit together, actual status wording, moving-background contrast and the final hold. Keep the hierarchy and open footage area rather than replacing the compact overlay with an opaque half-frame panel.

FAQ
Yes. label, value, unit and statuses come from JSON. Four palettes and semantic overrides are supported; the measurement uses the accent while white labels and dark status badges preserve the intended hierarchy.
Yes. Bring a continuous local take covering the full 6.8-second shot. The guide’s default-footage claim is not supported by this archive or generator; no video is bundled. A matte is not required.
Yes. Preserve label, measurement and sequential status reveals with a steady completed view. Re-render after timing, crop or layout changes.
No. The value and badges are supplied text. This scene does not measure footage, query a service or verify the stated conditions.
The current scene keeps only the first two statuses and emphasizes a single measurement. Use another layout or revise the scene deliberately for a larger information set.
