OpenAI Style Poster

Build a focused promotional poster by generating a background separately from the approved words, logos and product screenshots. OpenAI Style Poster defines eight distinct editorial directions and a shared contract for related campaign images. It is an independent workflow with no OpenAI affiliation or endorsement, and the name does not authorize use of third-party campaigns, trademarks or interfaces.

What you get

  • One finished raster poster by default, with up to four requested assets. Supported ratios are 16:9 (default), 9:16, 3:4 and 4:3; compose each ratio intentionally rather than stretching another format. A near-4K long edge is an aim, not a guaranteed generation size: report actual background/final pixels and do not mistake upscaling for new detail.
  • Eight documented visual systems: Classic Soft-Focus Blue and Color Soft Focus use one broad soft directional gesture; Tactile Macro uses one credible material; Scenic Integration uses real-looking scenery with an intentional UI carrier; Organic Lens Soft Focus uses large defocused depth zones; Sunlit Motion Gradient uses broad warm arcs; Fruit Extreme Macro uses one fruit species per image; High-Speed Light Beams uses coherent groups on a dark field.
  • A mode/series brief locking hue relationships, white balance, brightness/contrast/saturation, light or motion direction, texture/optical grammar and typography. Related posters keep one contract unless explicitly split into separate series. Fruit varieties may change natural color while sharing the same photographic lighting/tonal/depth-of-field contract.
  • Separate background generation and local deterministic composition of exact text, up to two permitted logos and zero to three product screenshots. Keep words/UI out of the generated background, scale supplied assets proportionally and preserve meaningful content. Deterministic placement avoids model-redrawn wording but does not guarantee pixel-identical assets: final WebP encoding and scaling still require fidelity checks.
  • Bold/heavy titles and semibold subtitles in available Chinese/English font families, defaulting to pure-white text unless explicitly changed. Text-only primary copy is centered both ways, usually one line or at most two. Plan a readable medium-dark safe zone rather than rescuing contrast with black overlays, strokes, glow or outline-like shadows.
  • The final image, selected mode/ratio, actual dimensions, exact prompt, composition/source records and FAL task/request details, plus a fourteen-category visual review. The installation supplies guidance and Node generation/composition/check helpers, not finished campaign artwork, a layered design document or automatic proof of factual/asset correctness.

Before you choose

Decide which information must remain exact before designing the background. Keep generated atmosphere, approved claims and supplied assets in separate roles, then inspect the final raster rather than trusting the prompt or composition spec. A polished poster still fails if a screenshot is clipped, a logo changed, white copy unreadable or a partnership invented.

Good fit

  • A product-launch, partnership or SaaS hero brief needs one strong visual idea and approved short copy.
  • A brand/social team wants a coordinated campaign across landscape, portrait and feed formats with intentional recomposition.
  • A poster combines a generated background with actual permitted app, website, product or logo assets that must retain their wording and proportions.

Not for

  • Reproducing a third-party campaign, trademark, proprietary interface, protected artwork or an unauthorized brand relationship.
  • Long documents, dense infographics or paragraphs of promotional copy squeezed into a poster.
  • Unpermitted logos/screenshots/faces, invented product facts/partnerships or a guarantee that deterministic composition preserves source pixels losslessly.

How to use

You say/openai-style-poster Create a 16:9 launch poster for Aster in Classic Soft-Focus Blue. Title: "Research, in motion."
  1. Provide a topic/product/event. Optional mode, brand hues, exact short title/subtitle/CTA, ratio, quantity (one to four), permitted logos and screenshots refine it. Ask only for missing essential topic, requested absent assets or exact wording. Inspect every image and label it as style reference, edit target or exact asset for unchanged-content insertion.

  2. Honor an explicit mode first. Otherwise route general editorial/launch briefs to Classic Soft-Focus Blue, explicit hue requests to Color Soft Focus and the documented organic/warm-motion/fruit/beam/material/scenic cues to their respective systems. Do not randomly mix modes. Color Soft Focus offers Teal Growth, Warm Coral, Lemon Cyan and Brand Monochrome; preserve the chosen hue relationship.

  3. For a series, lock mode, palette/photo contract, white balance, tonal/saturation range, primary direction and type before generating. Use a shared approved background variation only where ratio and visual intent remain appropriate; recompose natively for each requested ratio. Fruit can vary species across images, but one image contains only one species and the photography contract stays fixed.

  4. Plan background geometry and safe zones. Broad-brush modes use one continuous saturated gesture with melted edges and at most a faint echo, not grain/smoke/ribbons. Organic uses two or three large unrecognizable depth zones; sunlit motion one or two broad warm arc groups; fruit uses credible close texture/controlled droplets; beams use two to five varied directional groups with roughly 30–55% dark title space. Material/scenic modes retain credible surfaces/light rather than generic technology decoration.

  5. Lock available fonts and exact copy. Use at most one Chinese and one English family, bold/heavy title and at least semibold subtitle; default all text/CTA to #FFFFFF. Keep text-only copy centered, one hero sentence at most two lines. Put exact copy in the production brief, not the background generation payload. Adjust background/placement for contrast rather than adding a dark panel, text outline or glow.

  6. Use FAL GPT Image generation for a fresh text-free background, or its edit endpoint only for material the user intends to change. The bundled route needs Node.js 20+, FAL_KEY and authorization for each paid task; Sharp is required for local finishing. Keep exact logos/screenshots out of generation inputs, and never invent prices, customers, performance or partnerships.

  7. Save a prompt and fresh attempt/task/output paths before submission. The helper records an intent, then the request ID, and resumes matching settings rather than automatically replacing failed/uncertain tasks. It lacks an exclusive task claim/processing lock, so run a task in one process and do not promise race-safe exactly-once charging. If submission is ambiguous, preserve records and inspect provider history before authorizing another attempt.

  8. Pass editable references as HTTPS URLs/data URIs; local files require encoding rather than simply supplying a path to the helper. Its input digest binds the submitted strings/settings, not remote reference bytes. Choose a matching ratio preset or supported custom dimensions (up to 3840 long edge and model pixel limits), use high quality and record actual pixels. A checked ratio does not establish the requested exact resolution or native-detail level.

  9. Compose locally from a spec using Sharp: background ratio must match, assets default to proportional contain, and cover-cropping needs explicit permission. Put logos/screenshots in bounded boxes, keep important content/safe space and render exact text with escaped SVG strings and available fonts. The helper requires WebP and limits each canvas dimension to 640–3840; text lines/coordinates are explicit, not an automatic typography/overflow solver.

  10. Compare the rasterized result with exact copy and supplied assets: spelling, punctuation, data, icon geometry, logo colors/proportions, screenshot content and safe margins. Final encoding is lossy WebP, so original pixels are not guaranteed; keep source assets and composition spec. Save each attempt separately—existence checks/rename do not provide a concurrency-safe overwrite guarantee.

  11. Perform all fourteen visual review categories at full/thumbnail size and a same-size series lineup: routing, applicable brush/organic/sunlit/fruit/beam grammar, highlights, palette, consistency, surface, typography, text styling, information fidelity and ratio. A text scanner or WebP header check cannot substitute for this. The bundled validate.mjs requires release-only files absent from the installation ZIP and cannot be treated as a ready-to-run installed output checker.

  12. If a result fails, identify one primary defect and change only that property while holding approved parts fixed. A new paid background/edit is a separately authorized task, not an automatic retry. Deliver actual output paths/counts, mode/ratio/dimensions, exact prompt, FAL request/task record and QA limitations without credentials or full provider responses.
