Paper Cutout Story Video

Explain a simple idea through a small world of animated paper pieces. Paper Cutout Story Video turns your topic, notes or message into a short story with soft clay-and-felt shapes, hand-cut edges, layered hills and a warm sun. Props and words enter one idea at a time, so the explanation can work visually without narration.

What you get

  • A storybook MP4, normally thirty-five to fifty seconds, with 1080p default and 2K/4K options. The documented format is 30 fps H.264, with an optional music bed and no voiceover or sound-effects layer.
  • A topic-specific plan of roughly seven to eleven scenes: opening, hook, explanation in steps, meaning or lesson, closing and end card. Each scene carries one idea with a small amount of readable text rather than reproducing an example’s wording.
  • An editable HTML film folder with browser playback, a scrubber and scene-jump controls. The included eighty-prop library covers people, animals, nature, buildings and everyday objects; the storyboard selects and places what the subject actually needs.
  • A consistent light, handmade visual system with soft paper grain, puffy relief and props that pop, slide, grow or walk in. The default meadow can adapt to desert, seaside, snow, autumn, spring or dusk palettes while retaining the warm cut-paper character.
  • Build, QA and render tools plus a report of scenes, facts, sources, music and output details. Missing props can be drawn as simple matching SVG pieces or supplied as transparent stickers; optional paid generation can create custom stickers or music.

Before you choose

Choose this for an idea that can be explained through visible relationships between objects. Before animating, describe what changes from one scene to the next and why that change teaches the lesson. Watch a silent preview first: a pleasant landscape and moving props are useful only if the story remains understandable.

Good fit

  • Teachers and course creators explaining a straightforward science idea, habit or book theme in under a minute.
  • Creators who want a calm handmade story or visual explanation without drawing every prop themselves.
  • Small brands, schools and nonprofits whose message can be told with a few concrete objects and a clear lesson.

Not for

  • Talking-head video, voiceover-led teaching or a sound-effect-heavy edit. This format uses visuals and optional music.
  • A long tutorial or detailed product walkthrough that depends on real screen recordings.
  • Photorealism, dark drama or a neon visual identity. The supplied paper world stays light, soft and handmade.

How to use

You say/paper-cutout-story-video Make a short video about what The Little Prince is about, and its themes of friendship and responsibility.
  1. Supply the topic, question, script or notes and intended language. Add any logo or object photos you want used as stickers and choose music on/off and output size. Start with one precise lesson or story outcome rather than a whole course’s worth of material.

  2. Plan seven to eleven scenes with one idea each, keeping screen text brief and factual. For a science or history explanation, retain the actual sources and check the facts before designing the scene. For a book summary, retell the idea in your own words rather than lifting the original narration.

  3. Pick props that explain the subject: a tap and pipes for water, for example, rather than the same generic decorations in every story. Use the eighty-piece library first, draw a custom SVG where suitable or supply a transparent logo/photo sticker. Optional FAL sticker jobs need a reviewed plan and cost.

  4. Set up Node.js 20 or newer, FFmpeg and playwright-core with a supported browser. Build the storyboard and inspect the browser preview and QA sheets for small props, objects floating off the ground, text collisions, repetitive layouts and words still animating when the scene ends.

  5. Use a track you supply or review the FAL/ElevenLabs music route and cost before generation; without music the film is silent. Keep one continuous excerpt, render the chosen output and check timing, legibility, duration and audio as applicable. Deliver the editable film and fact/source report alongside the MP4.
