CreatorMotion · Device Role Link

Explain how two devices divide the work. Each image receives a role and short specification before a dashed bridge and capability label connect them. A held accent outline identifies the selected contributor while both devices remain visible. This eight-second effect illustrates a relationship you supply; it does not connect the devices or verify their capabilities.

What you get

  • A local generator, editable HyperFrames effect and motion/review instructions. Generate a 1920×1080 project and render a 30 fps device-relationship segment.
  • Two devices with image key, role and spec fields, plus linkLabel and activeDevice. Defaults use workstation and mini-server images for an illustrative main-workspace/background-task pairing.
  • Two image entrances, a connector reveal beginning at 1.50 seconds and capability label from 2.50 seconds. The selected photo area receives an accent outline at 3.80 seconds that settles into a thinner held edge.
  • Four palettes preserve geometry and timing: White & Yellow (white-yellow), Charcoal & Lime (charcoal-lime), Paper & Orange (paper-orange) and Black & White (midnight-ice). Semantic overrides adapt styling; recheck contrast. Dark canvases retain a fine static grid. Fonts are bundled locally: Inter, IBM Plex Mono for measurements/ordinals, Smiley Sans and Noto Sans SC. Chinese content automatically selects Smiley Sans, including Latin words in the composition; --zh-font noto-sans-sc chooses the plainer face and --font embeds your own. Check wrapping after changes.

Before you choose

Name the division of work before choosing the connection label. Shared processing, storage and control mean different things; a polished bridge should clarify the actual relationship rather than imply untested interoperability.

Good fit

  • A creator explaining complementary responsibilities between two devices or supplied object images.
  • A short lesson where concise roles, specifications and one connection label make the allocation clear.
  • A series using consistent two-object geometry, palette and typography.

Not for

  • Automatically discovering hardware, testing interoperability, allocating processing or proving a shared capability.
  • An unrestricted device graph or live performance dashboard. The authored layout, connector and active selection assume two objects.
  • Automatic full-film editing, generated presenter performance or soundtrack, or copying another creator’s identity and materials.

How to use

You say/creatormotion-comparison-device-allocation Turn my supplied explanation into a white-yellow B-roll scene using the Device Role Link effect. Use the text, data and media I provide, and ask for any required input that is missing.
  1. Prepare exactly two devices with image, role and spec, and write linkLabel describing their actual relationship. Set activeDevice to integer 0 or 1. The animation does not infer which device contributes the capability.

  2. Keep the bundled workstation/mini-server defaults for an illustrative demonstration or replace their keys through --images. Every image key must resolve. The helper can use an exact key or an extension-free basename if the content includes a suffix.

  3. Read the motion specification and keep role headings, specifications and the bridge label clear of each other. Use images that remain recognizable inside the square inspection planes. No presenter video or alpha matte is used.

  4. Prepare Node.js 22+, FFmpeg and the documented HyperFrames CLI 0.8.30. From the extracted package run node scripts/create.mjs --out PROJECT --data CONTENT.json with your chosen --style. Use --images for a local key-to-file map, with paths relative to that JSON and unlisted slots retaining defaults. Add semantic --overrides as needed and read the image policy before changing materials.

  5. Lint, validate and inspect the generated HyperFrames project, then render at 1920×1080 and 30 fps using the pinned CLI. Review the actual opening, each change and final hold for text bounds, contrast, image fit and seams. Keep at least 1.2 seconds of final reading time when editing, and compare all palettes with identical content after module changes. Narration, music and film assembly remain separate work. Check that each caption belongs to the correct object, the dashed link remains visible and the active outline identifies the intended contributor. A line between two pictures is not evidence of a tested connection.
