CreatorMotion · Feature Matrix Reveal

Compare two options on the same dimensions, one row at a time. Fixed option headings establish the table; each dimension label appears before its two corresponding values, while completed rows stay in place. This ten-second effect organizes supplied comparison copy rather than choosing a winner or verifying product features.

What you get

  • A local generator, editable HyperFrames implementation and motion/review instructions. Generate a 1920×1080 project and render a 30 fps feature-comparison segment.
  • Two options headers and rows containing dimension plus exactly two values. Solid heading strips, narrow dimension labels and ruled cells keep the semantic relationship explicit.
  • Header reveal from 0.16 seconds, then rows starting at 1 second with 1.6-second spacing. The dimension leads, followed by left and right cell wipes, with previous rows retained for the final hold.
  • Four palettes preserve geometry and timing: White & Yellow (white-yellow), Charcoal & Lime (charcoal-lime), Paper & Orange (paper-orange) and Black & White (midnight-ice). Semantic overrides need a contrast check; dark canvases retain a fine static grid. Fonts are bundled locally: Inter, IBM Plex Mono for measurements/ordinals, Smiley Sans and Noto Sans SC. Chinese text automatically uses Smiley Sans, including Latin words; --zh-font noto-sans-sc selects the plainer face and --font embeds your own. Inspect wrapping after changes.

Before you choose

Choose criteria before writing the cells. A comparison is useful when the same dimension means the same thing for both options; parallel wording and accurate scope matter more than a visually stronger column.

Good fit

  • A creator comparing two choices using a shared set of criteria.
  • A short lesson with concise dimension labels and brief values that remain readable in aligned cells.
  • A recurring series using consistent matrix structure, palette and typography.

Not for

  • Automatic research, feature verification, scoring or selection of the better option. You supply the comparison and its factual basis.
  • Independent document annotations or a free-form many-option table. The fixed CSS assumes a dimension column and two option columns.
  • Automatic full-film editing, generated presenter performances or music, or copying a reference creator’s identity and material.

How to use

You say/creatormotion-comparison-feature-matrix Turn my supplied explanation into a white-yellow B-roll scene using the Feature Matrix Reveal effect. Use the text, data and media I provide, and ask for any required input that is missing.
  1. Prepare two options and rows with dimension/values fields. Every row should have exactly two values in the same option order, so neither value can accidentally inherit the wrong heading.

  2. Choose dimensions that apply fairly to both options and keep wording parallel. The default Solo workspace/Team workspace example is illustrative, not a verified product comparison. Avoid implying superiority through unsupported wording.

  3. Read the motion specification and keep the row count compact. The fixed row height and 1.6-second cadence do not automatically paginate or extend beyond ten seconds. No presenter video, alpha matte or raster image is required.

  4. Prepare Node.js 22+, FFmpeg and the documented HyperFrames CLI 0.8.30. From the extracted package run node scripts/create.mjs --out PROJECT --data CONTENT.json with the chosen --style, adding semantic --overrides if needed. Read the motion specification and image policy before adapting the composition. Shared image-map options do not add an active raster slot or presenter to this effect.

  5. Lint, validate and inspect the generated HyperFrames project, then render at 1920×1080 and 30 fps with the pinned CLI. Check actual MP4 frames at the opening, each reveal and final comparison for labels, bounds, contrast and correct values. Preserve at least 1.2 seconds of final reading time when changing the timeline and inspect all palettes with identical content after module changes. Narration, music and film assembly remain separate work. Read each dimension with both cells as it appears, then check the complete table. Different copy lengths should not disrupt row alignment or hide an option heading.
