CreatorMotion · Dual Tendency Scales

Place two tendencies on parallel scales, then add their context. Each fill and knob moves to a supplied position, followed by a short status caption and a group of indexed alternative labels. This nine-second effect is a predetermined conceptual comparison, not an interactive slider, assessment or price calculator.

What you get

  • A local generator, editable HyperFrames implementation and motion/review instructions. Generate a 1920×1080 project and render a 30 fps two-scale explanation segment.
  • Two dimensions, two numeric values between 0 and 1, two scaleLabels and a compact alternatives list. The default Precision/Exploration example uses positions 0.35 and 0.88 with three illustrative method labels.
  • Independent fill/knob animations starting at 1.0 and 2.2 seconds, later status labels and alternative entrances beginning at 4.0 seconds. Two fine fixed connectors draw after the main measured positions settle.
  • Four palettes preserve geometry and timing: White & Yellow (white-yellow), Charcoal & Lime (charcoal-lime), Paper & Orange (paper-orange) and Black & White (midnight-ice). Semantic overrides adapt styling; recheck contrast. Dark canvases retain a fine static grid. Fonts are bundled locally: Inter, IBM Plex Mono for measurements/ordinals, Smiley Sans and Noto Sans SC. Chinese content automatically selects Smiley Sans, including Latin words in the composition; --zh-font noto-sans-sc chooses the plainer face and --font embeds your own. Check wrapping after changes.

Before you choose

Use the scales only after defining what a position means. A precise-looking handle can suggest a measured score even for a qualitative idea; label illustrative placements honestly and ensure the alternative group does not imply a computed recommendation.

Good fit

  • A creator explaining two separately defined conceptual dimensions with a clear meaning for low and high positions.
  • A short teaching passage using concise status and alternative captions rather than a dense comparison table.
  • A series requiring consistent scale geometry, palette and typography.

Not for

  • Interactive dragging, automatically scoring a subject or calculating prices from slider values. The positions are supplied for the animation.
  • Assuming the fixed alternative connectors track the knobs or establish a measured causal relationship. Their geometry is authored separately.
  • Automatic full-film editing, generated presenter performances or music, or copying another creator’s identity and materials.

How to use

You say/creatormotion-comparison-dual-sliders Turn my supplied explanation into a white-yellow B-roll scene using the Dual Tendency Scales effect. Use the text, data and media I provide, and ask for any required input that is missing.
  1. Prepare two dimensions, two values in the 0–1 interval, two scaleLabels and a short alternatives list. Define what each dimension measures or represents; the animation does not validate a score or explain the meaning of either endpoint automatically.

  2. Keep the intended two-scale/three-alternative composition unless you revise its geometry. Values directly set percentage positions without input clamping. The current code does not print low/high endpoint captions despite the guide’s wording, so explain those anchors in the narration or add them deliberately.

  3. Read the motion specification and inspect knob/fill alignment over the whole travel, not just the final state. The connectors use fixed paths rather than positions calculated from the values, and the group is indexed labels rather than automatically selected category icons. No presenter, matte or raster image is required.

  4. Prepare Node.js 22+, FFmpeg and the documented HyperFrames CLI 0.8.30. From the extracted package run node scripts/create.mjs --out PROJECT --data CONTENT.json with your chosen --style. Use --images for a local key-to-file map, with paths relative to that JSON and unlisted slots retaining defaults. Add semantic --overrides as needed and read the image policy before changing materials.

  5. Lint, validate and inspect the generated HyperFrames project, then render at 1920×1080 and 30 fps using the pinned CLI. Review the actual opening, each change and final hold for text bounds, contrast, image fit and seams. Keep at least 1.2 seconds of final reading time when editing, and compare all palettes with identical content after module changes. Narration, music and film assembly remain separate work. Check both final values, status-caption fit and fixed connector endpoints. The final track width matches the knob-travel formula, but source CSS also translates the handle for centering, so verify actual endpoint alignment visually.
