Wonky Cute Doodles

Turn a short scene brief into an original crayon-and-pencil illustration with crooked shapes, earnest expressions and room to breathe. Wonky Cute Doodles makes the depicted marks uneven while keeping the actual raster clear and correctly sized. A repeated paper, palette and character grammar can coordinate a series without copying a reference composition or treating blur as handmade charm.

What you get

  • One finished raster per approved generation request, unless a larger set or sticker sheet is explicitly requested. A single character, loose group or simple story scene uses one main subject and only the supporting cast/props needed to read immediately. A sheet is one composed image, not automatically separate transparent stickers or vector files.
  • A visible mark-making recipe: blunt wax-crayon grain, scratchy colored pencil, doubled/retraced contours, uneven pressure, open joins, looping patchy fills, paper gaps and small overshoots. Simple circles/beans/tubes, mismatched eyes and stiff limbs stay readable rather than becoming blurred, corrupted or grotesque.
  • A bright limited palette of roughly four to seven colors on white/warm-white paper, usually with one dominant color per subject and smaller cobalt/green/violet/orange/pink/yellow/black accents. Flat front-facing, sticker-like spacing and generous margins replace cinematic lighting, realistic perspective and fully painted scenery by default.
  • Prompt recipes for original characters, scene groups, a short exact-text exception and authorized subject-reference editing. A series locks paper/tooth, outline tool/thickness, fill motion/gap density, face construction and palette/whitespace rules while varying cast, action, props and dominant colors.
  • An optional resumable Node/FAL helper with pre-submission task records, request recovery/adoption, fixed-setting checks and non-overwriting output finalization. The final prompt or summary, actual output dimensions/format, FAL task/request details when used and a concise visual QA note accompany delivery. Installed scripts/guidance are tools for making the art, not completed images.
  • Raster-container/format/dimension checks and optional prompt/text-directory glyph scans. They do not inspect bitmap lettering, originality, crayon texture, emotional tone, silhouette or composition; those require full-size and thumbnail visual review. “High resolution” must be qualified by actual delivered pixels rather than an assumed 4K output.

Before you choose

Judge the drawing in two passes: first confirm the scene reads clearly, then inspect the marks that make it awkward and warm. Keep technical damage separate from intentional imperfection. If the outline and fill are uneven but the character is unreadable, simplify the scene instead of calling the failure part of the style.

Good fit

  • Playful article art, cards, social posts, family-friendly campaign pictures or a requested sticker-sheet composition.
  • A creator wants a recognizable illustrated series from short scene briefs with consistent marks, paper and palette.
  • A concept benefits from warmth, imperfection, a concrete action and comic awkwardness rather than polished realism.

Not for

  • Photorealistic scenes, glossy 3D, smooth vector lines or luxury-polished art direction as the default.
  • Exact logo work, dense in-image copy or a guarantee of letter-perfect generated typography.
  • Reproduction of famous/protected characters, distinctive costumes/props, existing artwork or a supplied reference composition.

How to use

You say/wonky-cute-doodles Draw a bean-shaped creature fighting an inside-out umbrella while three square birds splash in puddles.
  1. Provide a subject or one-sentence scene. Optional placement/ratio, palette, mood, props, relationships and authorized subject references refine it. Make reasonable choices for minor gaps rather than asking for a full art-direction questionnaire. Default to no text; request exact short wording only when essential.

  2. Choose one useful action and an original cast built from simple shapes. Keep one focal subject, limited supporting props and readable silhouettes. Compose flat/front-facing on clean paper with generous margins; vary scale, eye size, limb posture and spacing without adding unrelated characters or tracing a source design.

  3. Write visible style facts into the prompt: wax-crayon grain, doubled pencil contours, uneven pressure, scratchy looping fills, gaps and small overshoots. Use roughly four to seven bright colors and no gradients/airbrush realism. For a series repeat the locked paper, marks, face and palette/space contract; change scene content, not the whole visual system.

  4. Use an available native image tool when the user chooses it. Otherwise the bundled route requires Node.js 20+ and server-side FAL_KEY and uses paid GPT Image generation/edit credits. Obtain authorization for a paid task and save the prompt, output and task paths. API quality defaults to low as a cost setting, not a definition of rough drawing quality.

  5. Choose the intended size explicitly. Fresh-text generation defaults to landscape 1024×576; reference editing defaults to auto. Fixed presets also include 512/1024 squares, 768×1024, 1024×768 and 576×1024. The helper checks exact preset pixels and can reject a provider result that differs—even if larger. Use a supported setting and report actual dimensions; do not silently stretch or label a rejected output complete.

  6. For editing, supply only permitted subject references. The helper accepts up to sixteen local PNG/JPEG/WebP, image data URIs or public HTTPS URLs, with local/inline size limits. Local/inline content is fingerprinted after normalization; remote references bind to URL strings rather than fetched pixels. Keep the role as subject guidance, not permission to copy artwork, branding or signature props.

  7. The helper exclusively saves a submission record before the paid POST and locks task processing. Resume with the same prompt, references, endpoint, settings and output. If submission is uncertain, inspect provider history and adopt only the matching existing request ID; adoption attaches that task rather than generating again, but the script cannot prove the ID matches your brief. Never delete an uncertain record or automatically replace a failed/unsatisfactory paid task.

  8. Preserve approved outputs and records. The helper checks returned raster format/container/dimensions and digest metadata, stages the bytes and finalizes without overwriting another image. Run the output validator with format/minimum-width/exact-16:9 options when relevant and scan supplied prompt/text directories for forbidden icon glyphs. Container checks are not full pixel decoding, OCR or semantic QA.

  9. Inspect full-size and thumbnail images for crisp output, visible paper, doubled contours, real stroke direction, small gaps, cheerful readable faces, original silhouettes and complete crops. Short exact text must be checked character by character; incorrect lettering is not a style feature. Use an approved new generation or a separate typography layer for corrections, and preserve transparency only when actually required/verified.

  10. Name one defect and one focused change if needed: restore sharpness without smoothing marks, reduce props for clutter, vary posture for uniformity or replace cast/action/arrangement if too close to a reference. A new paid task requires approval and a new record; keep prior outputs. Deliver WebP for ordinary web use, or appropriate PNG when required, with actual paths/counts, prompt, task/request details and remaining limitations.

Requirements and costs

You bring
A subject or short scene brief
Dependencies
Node.js 20 or newer — required for the bundled generation script · FAL account and API key — required for the bundled generation script
Outside costs
Each FAL generation or edit uses paid GPT Image credits. The bundled script disables provider retries and never submits an automatic replacement task.
